In the last two months, BOOX releases two models in its 10.3-inch Note line to better satisfy different user needs.
Although Note Air and Note3 have a totally different design and a large specification gap, users will get indecisive in the purchase.
Therefore, this post will walk you through these two great new devices’ main differences and help you figure out which one suits you best. Also, we’ll add Note2 to the contest to give a comprehensive view.

Note3: Advanced in All Aspects with Lightweight
If you care about the paper-like writing experience and optimal performance, then Note3 is the best choice for you.
As the latest member of the Note line, Note3 soon takes the place of Note2 and becomes our premium Note model.
Note3 outstands Note2 mostly because of its hardware and software advancement.
The octa-core processor once seen in Note2 gets upgraded in Note3 to offer more power for multitasking. So you can experience noticeably faster speed when turning the page, opening apps, and browsing webs.
Although Note3 has the same large storage of 4G RAM and 64G ROM, the improved storage and flashing memory solutions make it even close to our flagship model Max Lumi.
LPDDR4X and UFS2.1 in Note3 can transfer data multiple times quicker than the LPDDR3 and eMMC in Note2. Differences are trivial in transferring small-sized files–but when it comes to the large ones, you’ll see the gap.

Is Note2 obsolete? Not at all.
Before Note3 coming out, Note2 was the most advanced Note model. It has the octa-core processor of Max3 and massive storage of 4GB+64GB. It outpaces Nova models in terms of storage and size. Is the writing experience equals on Note 3 than Nova 3?

There are no writing experience differences between the Note2 and Note3, as they both use Mobius screen with AG glass flat cover-lens. Nova3, like its previous model Nova2, uses an HD Carta E Ink screen with AG glass flat cover-lens. The Mobius screen is softer than the Carta screen, but many of our experienced users comment that the writing feeling on Nova2 and Note2 are both good. Between the note air and the note 3, which device would be best for people who get eye strain from reading on other devices (like from our phones and computers)?

Note Air and Note3 are E Ink devices. They both get the merits of an E Ink screen: eye-friendly, comfortable viewing, and power-efficient. The main differences lie in their form factors and specification. If you want to buy a 10.3inch E Ink tablet to relieve your eyestrains resulted from light-emitting devices (phones and computers), Note Air ad Note3 are both great choices 😉

Note2 runs Android 9 while Note3 and Note Air run Android 10. They all get the latest BOOX firmware V3.1.

seems like Note3 and air is a little different, Note3 does not have landscape mode,

Note3 also has landscape mode, but the difference is the landscape/portrait mode in Note3 needs a manual selection. Because Note Air has a gravity sensor built-in, it can adjust the screen orientation automatically. Also, the design, weight, thickness, screen type, battery capacity and storage are different in these two devices. To sum up, Note3 gets better specs in terms of battery and storage, while Note Air gets unique features (a magnetic pen and g-sensor) and a thin and ergonomic design.
