  1. There is a problem with the screensaver after updating.
    After turning on the screensaver, the reader can no longer wake up – only a “trimmed” screensaer is displayed and I need to restart (hard shutdown witch button and power on) to be able to continue using the reader.

    1. Hi Thomas,

      You can check whether you’ve set the same image file as both standby and shutdown screensaver, which may trigger the problem you described. Please try to set different images as standby and shutdown screensaver, or at least use the copies of the same image with different names. If you still can not get the problem resolved, please submit feedback in the settings to let our developers lend you a hand.

  2. How do you get back the disappearing tool bar in notes? Can yo disable the floating one and have it fixed as before?

    1. Hi Aleksandar,

      After you tap the upper-left icon in the fixed side toolbar to enter the full-screen mode, you can choose to whether “unfold” or “collapse” the floating toolbar. If you accidentally choose to “collapse” it, you can always call it out by swiping from the edge with fingers (please make sure you’ve enabled the finger touch). Once it appears, it will stick to the note page until you fold it manually.

      If you want a toolbar to appear in the first place and never disappear, you can 1) stay in the original mode, the toolbar will stick to the side; 2) tap “unfold” on the popup when you first enter the full-screen mode to make the floating toolbar appear, or swipe from the edge to call it out if you’ve collapsed it.

      Hope the above instruction can help you call out the disappearing toolbar;)

      1. Somehow my floating editing bar disappeared and never appears again. I tried to swipe the edge, but does not work. Can you help me? THe instruction is not very useful since I do not know how to enter full-screen mode (in fact there is no upper left icon).

      TTS is a built-in function of the BOOX native reading app, NeoReader. If kindle app also offers this kind of feature, you can use it as you do on other Android devices.

  4. I’ve downloaded the firmware update for my Boox Note on pc and I’m trying to transfer it to the reader. How can I make the update work this way?

    1. Hi Alexandru,

      After sideloading the correct update package to your BOOX Note, you can click “check for updates” in “Firmware Update”. The system will detect the package and starts the upgrade process.
